Listener comments!

  9:40am annie:

what do i get if i adopt you? and what your going rate these days? :)
  9:44am dale:

does one have to feed and clothe an adopted dj?
  9:45am Drummer Some:

I got adopted yesterday! Mining the Audio Motherlode's Miner is still unclaimed, however. See the link at the top of the playlist page. Blessings!
  9:47am Thatchero:

In the Hizzie! Workin' the Statistical angle!
  9:59am Brian:

I want a rotary phone app.
  9:59am Cecile:

Let's compare WFMU to an heirloom tomato.
It's more difficult to deal with on the horticulture end, it's hard to find seeds, but when they grow and ripen, the flavor is indescribable and worth the effort. Support heirloom radio!
  10:01am Carmichael:

Good morning Doug and Lemon Pledgers.
  10:01am Brian:

Fruit of the heirloom radio. Flying by the seat of its pants.
  10:01am dc pat:

nice Cecile...but I prefer the ones that all look the same and taste like plastic at the grocery....just kiddin..
  10:01am Cecile:

Lemon Pledge, very pretty, makes shine that's lemon good, Lemon Pledge very pretty, brings the luster to the wood!
  10:02am Cecile:

They have their place. For sure. I am not a tomato snob, but there's something about those green stripey and purple and orange ones that's so yummy!
  10:03am The Prince of Segues:

So come on everyone and bring some luster to that rare hardwood known as WFMU.
  10:08am dc pat:

I'm a total tomato snob--only eat mine. Only listen to FMU.
  10:08am Cecile:

Oh, Pretty Prince of Seques, where's the seque now?
  10:09am Brian:

It's not a matter of being a snob. A facsimile of a tomato is not a tomato. So it goes for radio.
  10:10am Cecile:

Hey, I eat fascimile cheese like Cheez Whiz. I will eat any tomato that crosses my path.

But since I have choices, I go for the good ones. Like those striped tomatoes and WFMU
  10:11am Prince of Segues:

Help turn this beautiful little Roma tomato of a station into the beefsteak it deserves to be. All it needs is your Miracle-Gro, in any denomination.
  10:14am Cecile:

How's it looking on the toteboard?
  10:20am north guinea hills:

La Tigressa!
  10:21am PMD:

I gave for life and part of it was attributed to you Doug.
  10:32am Carmichael:

Doug, your guest is obviously not from New Jersey.
  10:33am Nate:

Has that "Love Owed" song been featured in a soundtrack or a commercial? I know I've heard it before, but I can't place it
  10:40am Nate:

Nevermind! Pretty sure I heard it on your show a couple weeks ago.
  10:46am Hendrik:

The Motherlode is a true treasure...

Thanks for all your hard work

Hendrik
  10:48am Cecile:

YES!
  10:49am dc pat:

FUCKIN A!
  10:53am Rob in SAV:

Doug, a rare chance to listen live today, so it was a cool bonus to donate live, too. Everyone should do it! Yer fan-- rw
  10:57am Cecile:

Gotta go!

PLEDGE!
  11:09am Hugo:

Yeah, here's to another year of drummers and sinners!
  11:12am annie:

i love you too, doug and all you wonderful fellow listeners!! this is a great family, really
  11:12am Mark:

Good attempt at odd UK town name Kevin!
  11:14am PMD:

Annie really wants the Hank Williams.
  11:15am Hugo, Foreign Correspondent:

Updated job title ...
  11:20am Geoff from LaPorte:

Me needs the Hank too!
  11:31am Swami:

Swami just gave $20! Pug gotta limited income, and that's all that could be grabbed with no opposable thumbs!
  11:32am north guinea hills:

whoops, fubbed up my pledge forgot additional swag to my former mouse and other pledge (forgot to add my listener #). I suppose this can be fixed later.
  11:35am north guinea hills:

I'm cutting down on my vinyl consumption and single malt addiction in order add 70% more then my pledges last year.....

Aaron in Bk
  11:38am Hugo:

Listening to these Hank Williams tracks, you realize where Wayne Hancock is coming from. Had the privilege of seeing Hancock a few years back ...
  11:42am dc pat:

Yeah, Wayne the Train definitely went to Hank High School
  11:43am LizGig:

Can't pledge any more, sadly, but I did realise I can help when I leave the office or go to a meeting. I used to just mute the stream when I was away, but I can save WFMU money by dropping the stream instead.
  11:50am north guinea hills:

dern tootin' idea, LizGig!
  11:54am dc pat:

Los York's rule.
  11:57am LizGig:

Of course, I could save WFMU even more money by not listening at all! Save your radio station by not listening...my brain can't quite process that, but perhaps that's because my brain is a pre-digital model.
  12:00pm Carmichael:

I have an analog memory device as well. I actually bought something yesterday with paper money, and I couldn't process NOT using a debit card. I stared at the amazing heavy coins in my hand and walked away.
  12:15pm still b/p:

I think the Amazing Heavy Coins do a number in the gospel collection.
