it's great you are doing the show in memoriam of john storm roberts. i worked for him late 80s and part of 90's up here in the hudson valley. he introduced me to so much terrific music man, tabu ley of course and celia, barretto, colon, pacheco, ali farka toure, trio matamoros, moondog just to mention a couple...great show doug!

Though I never met him, John Storm Roberts was a massive influence on me and this program. His open-minded spirit and good taste (and, of course, amazing releases on Original) are evident in everything I do musically.
