My husband's dad doesn't talk much about his service, either. He was at the Battle of Coral Sea, a pretty terrifiying event. My brother-in-law found out he had earned a medal for valor as did the whole crew of his ship, not a Silver Star or anything,but he had it sent, and it sits proudly in the foyer of his dad's house. | |
