meg g.:

  11:16pm
Michael from the Left Coast:

I've always wondered what are some of those sounds on this album--like the almost beeping noise in the background. Like the hooting noise in "Fashion"
  11:18pm
Lang:

OMG You are NOT playing this! Except you ARE! I love you EFD!!!
  11:20pm
Michael from the Left Coast:

How about the Four Horsemen--Rockin' is My Business to follow? There's a song I haven't heard in fifteen years
  11:23pm
toni daytona:

  11:23pm
Chad From Oregon:

There are baseless rumors EVERY year that Bowie will play Coachella.
  11:24pm
efd:

Toni, believe it or not I already figured that out.

Hi everyone, glad you're enjoying the show so far!
  11:24pm
nec13:

Does Bowie still have his own ISP?
  11:25pm
Michael from the Left Coast:

True Chad but this year there are fewer big names to catch attention and I imagine they'll throw stupid money at him to do it
  11:29pm
meg g.:

evan could you play my ultimate fave bowie tune "fame" thaks again evan
  11:30pm
efd:

"Meg," why would I play that after I just played two other David Bowie songs?
  11:33pm
nec13:

  11:34pm
meg g.:

He also toured with Hall and Oates
  11:47pm
john from otisville:

he played w/ Rod the Mod a lot, and anyone near that London scene
  11:47pm
john:

And actually most of Hookoot played with Elton in the early days, though Im not sure how often--I know they were nearly all on the great Tumbleweed Connection.
  11:48pm
Amanda:

Congrats Harry, indeed! Every new day should be unwrapped like a precious gift.
  11:49pm
nec13:

Good song. I've always liked the Young Rascals.
  11:50pm
john from otisville:

he wore glasses and had a slight astigmatism in his left eye
  11:51pm
Michael from the Left Coast:

Hey EFD as a fellow drummer I think you'd appreciate the multi part interview on YouTube with Dino Danelli (interview done by Liberty Devito--Billy Joel's former drummer).
  11:52pm
bennett4senate:

  12:09am
camel:

i'm sleepy already!!!!
  12:13am
nec13:

Evan, have you ever listened to "Dancing in Your Head"? It's fantastic.
  12:15am
Bummer:

Saw erstwhile EFD fave Jeremy Jay last week--not very good. A little too introverted on stage, a little too prima donnaish about his reverb, and not fully engaged in his own songs. Of course, the lame, sparse audience may have had something to do with it.
  12:16am
randy in NC:

Re '67 Sox, 2 things I remember about that. 1) many (most?) of the Series games were played during the day and 2) they played them over the PA system at JFK Jr HS when I was there...
  12:34am
efd:

randy, I'm with you on the daytime World Series games, although strangely I remember that more with the '69 Mets-Orioles series,

Too bad about the J. Jay show, Bummer - or Aharon, I presume.

nec13, not sure what "Dancing In Your Head" is...? I'm prepared to feel ignorant now.

Michael, I'm definitely more interested in Liberty DeVItto's interviewing, as opposed to his drumming. ;) I'll look for those clips.
  12:35am
osvi:

EFD, playing the ill conceived beats. Cant wait for the mini marathon, wanna give a little somethin' somethin' to the worlds greatest radio station! woot woot...
  12:37am
toni daytona:

efd---what do you think of my my friend,,aint she sweet??
  12:43am
?:

her perfume is weird
  12:47am
efd:

osvi, thanks in advance - your support is appreciated.

Toni, I assume we can expect to get donations from you and every single one of your friends. I'll be keeping an eye out.
  12:48am
Bummer:

Since I'm oversharing on the comment board (w/cover blown), I'll note that I've had the misfortune to stand behind James McNew at far too many shows.
  1:17am
Joe:

the Swingin' Neckbreakers are pretty good. But I always get this creepy nagging Black Crowesy kind of tingle in the back of my head when I hear them and it kind of ruins everything. And I don't even -really- hate the Black Crowes, even though I sorta do.

The Black Angels, on the other hand, I am exceptionally passionate about. Seeing them live was like a religious experience.
  1:18am
Danne D:

hey guys! hey efd!
I have to catch up on this great set on the archives :(

But...did you guys hear about the celebrity phone slave for next week? :)
  1:21am
Joe:

well, I'm not sure I'd call myself a "celebrity," per se...
  1:22am
efd:

Harry Harrison is going to be my phone slave??

Joe, have you seen the Neckbreakers live? That might disabuse you of this misplaced Black Crowes association.
  1:23am
Danne D:

LOL

actually it was someone nearer and dearer to my heart :)
  1:24am
Joe:

you know I can't refuse an EFD reccomendation. I'll put them on "The List". With a bullet.
  1:28am
Danne D:

*pouts Toni-Style* nobody cares that I'll be phone slaving next week 8(

that's okay call in and pledge everyone :) Show the love for the Funk Man!
  1:31am
kamper:

Just tuned in and it looks like I missed a killer show.

Thank god for the arkives!
  1:32am
Danne D:

LOL awwww thx for the shout out Evan :)

Puleeze pledge what you can folks. Consider it kinda like a 2nd Cinco De Funko :)
  1:33am
efd:

Danne D, we kid because we love.

Welcome, kamper!
  1:33am
efd:

Think of it as more of a Casho de Funko
  1:38am
Danne D:

yup yup

Just take like $10 off each Christmas gift and pass it along to FMU :) Just don't tell Santa I said to do that!
  1:39am
Joe:

I've just been openly encouraging people to deal drugs and pledge the proceeds.
  1:40am
kamper:

The Swim has a Teardrop Explodes slash Julian Cope vibe to it
  1:40am
Joe:

but your idea is much better. Like, way better.
  1:42am
Danne D:

Or conversely cut $10 out of each bag of drugs you were going to give people for Christmas - kinda works the same way :)
  1:44am
Michael from the Left Coast:

For a moment there I thought this was an alternate version of Wunderbar by Tenpole Tudor
  1:46am
Danne D:

I had a zim zamm in my backyard growing up. As a result I play tennis ambidextrously.
Ironically enough, though, I cannot swim.
  1:49am
Michael from the Left Coast:

EFD you know that Purdie is the drummer in the Broadway show Hair at the moment
  1:54am
efd:

I did not know that! Thanks for the info.
  1:58am
kamper:

A crest??
  1:59am
Danne D:

G'night everyone!
Call early call often next week folks and pledge pledge pledge!!!!

keep me busy next week :D
