i have a bootleg recording Ferrari/Dj Olive at the Kitchen (recorded from my friend, Kenard)a year before he died. I need a way to get it out. DJ Olive got a copy from me, but I'm not sure about the permissions from the Ferrari estate.

My lovely wife recently presented me with a live disc by Camille O'Sullivan that includes a killer version of "Next". Also, in a review of the Camille, one writer suggested that Alex Harvey did a version that knocked it out of the park.

Had the privilege to see Libba Cotten @ the Phila. Folk Fest. one year, she was in her 90's. Concert was outdoors, stage covered. Most amazing electrical storm occurring while she played. Her tiny voice singing 'Freight Train' against the BOOMING thunder & blazing lightening. WHAT A TRIP! (and I mean tripping!).

Parq, Alex Harvey could knock a lot of songs out of the park. I missed him twice as a young man due to reschedulings, then later he died.

I never saw him either, Carm, except for when he was on that "In Concert" show on ABC in the mid-70s, but I remember when he died. Some shit. His take on "Deliliah" was a big hit at Boston College.

Yes, the Sensational AH Band, I remember that. They played, among other things, The Man in the Jar, which just blew me away. He left it all out there on stage when he was done.

I don't remember "Jar" distinctly. I remember "Vambo (Vamboo?) To the Rescue" and I particularly remember his cover of "Framed", by which he turned an old R&B novelty into something out of Weimar-era cabaret, only louder. One of his key talents was the ability to spot old songs like "Framed" and "Delilah" and fit them into his own weird world.

David, sorry about the extensve chat on a side point. Your selections are still kicking hind.
