cecile, i was just handed four huge garbage bags of potting supplies and cell packs, trays etc.. clay pots.. woohoo!! and i put new plastic on the green house. happy to say that the carrots are just fine.. and the weeds are very happy..

It puts me in mind of a thick flower/blossom aroma, but don't know if it's in the trees or among shrubs or ground flowers -- kinda musky/pissy. So strong I keep expecting to see a very visible culprit in view.

Interesting set, Doug. I found the book about Dean Reed called Comrade Rockstar, and the author spends a great deal of time talking about the Prague music scene of the 60s and what it's like now. Perfect timing.

Gardening -- I'll give ya what I got. We had a large art installation in our neighborhood park this summer, and one of its components was a garden. When the installation got taken down, the garden went with it. This morning, a work crew was restoring grass to the area. Kinda nice to see.

Being born WV, and spending holidays there w/ my grandparents, i never was exposed to hillbilly music until college, since my family thought of hillbilly music as a WV stereotype they were trying to avoid.

My parents were redfaced, yet intrigued, when they heard me playing Carter Family et al in my car years ago.
