I probably mentioned this last Halloween, but I highly recommend Psychomania, a great early '70s English horror flick with an aging George Sanders in a pivotal role. I just watched it over the weekend for the first time in about 25 years, and it was as good as I remembered it!

Nobody -- nobody -- knows what percentage of people are telling the pollsters they're voting for Obama when they're actually volting for McCain. From the pollsters mouths to God's ears, but I for one am keeping my champagne corked for now.

There is absolutely no precedent for something like that happening on a massive scale, Parq. And even if there were a 6% "Bradley Effect" of people lying to pollsters, Obama would still probably win.

Honestely, I want to believe, but I've just got a bad gut feeling. Guess I'll just have to work on breathing exercises for the next eight days.

I agree with sloane, these poll results may hurt Obama, since people may become complacent and not vote. The stat that's been bothering me regards who actually votes: 20% of the 20-year olds and 80% of the 80-year olds. It would help to make sure that you bring others with you when you go to vote.

Don't worry, R.P, my 80 year old father has been working hard for Obama. One of his major tasks - registering young folk and getting them to the polls. This will be a big turnout year all around.

The real problem is the ES&S iVotronic voting machines switching peoples' votes -- reports say this is already happening with early voting in MO, WV, and TX.

As for polls, enthusiasm is much lower among Repubs than Dems this year, so I think the polls could be accurate. I don't see why someone would LIE and claim to be voting for Obama when actually voting for McCain. But will we be *allowed* to vote accurately?
