...perhaps the solution is to have Nick the Bard do an acapella rendition of Mac Davis' Greatest Hits.... Or is Bobby Vinton too much to hope for?
....nick could totally shred Bobby Vinton. Blue on Blue... Mister Lonely...

Magical Mystery Vinton: MISTER LONELY IS THE WALRUS...
I'd bronze that mp3 right away.......
but then, Irwin says we're all on the brink of death, so maybe it's not worth it?

May I point out, though, before we break both our jawbones, that I was just making an observation.

I like to listen to music as I fall asleep. PJ Harvey was kind of tricky, though. Polly Jean would get me too ramped up some nights, especially "Me-Jane." I was positively obsessed with PJ Harvey during my junior high and high school years, while all my friends were fawning over Tori Amos.
Cocteau Twins are much more conducive to drifting off to sleep.
Surprisingly, so is "Absolutego" by Boris. And I mean that in the best way.

Before anyone gets too amused by the financial metldown just remember: as usual, it's working schmucks with 401k'sand pensions who will be screwed more than the big shots. The big shots always come out of these things just fine, thank you.

And speaking of another Muriel.namely Muriel Gaines,a few months back I found an unplayed copy of the 50s Rendition EP,which combines the two 1946 National 78s,with Sam Manning. Unfortunately this copy has no cover. If anybody reading this should have such a cover,I would be VERY interested...
