Listener comments!

  12:08pm Bad Ronald:

Nice way to break out!
  12:10pm Jeff:

Hey Joe,How's it going? Do u have anything by magic christian handy?
  12:13pm Joe B:

Jeff,

No Magic Christian here. Hopefully they will leave something when they come here. Saw them in Texas 2 years ago (pre-Clem joinig) they are excellent!
  12:15pm Bad Ronald:

The Surf Punks cover of "Sealed with a Kiss" would be cool. (if yer takin suggestions)
  12:18pm Wendy del Formaggio:

I'm a big Blue Oyster Cult dork. Thanks for playing 'em, Joe.
  12:31pm Chris V:

How about Hidden Bay by The Chills while we're on the summer and beach thing???
  12:37pm Negator:

Thanks for checking out my stuff Bad Ronald. Parq, Rocket Cottage is a reference to that mediocre Steeleye Span record. We should play on Joe's show! When can we play, Joe?
http://www.myspace.com/rocketcottage
  12:38pm What Joe is Thinking:

I'll play these songs. If these people bring me beer!!
  12:38pm Bad Ronald:

Killer Who track - thanks!!
  1:13pm Bad Ronald:

We came with beers before and we'd come with beers again. That is if you'd have us
  1:36pm jeff:

fyi- boss martians and muck and the mires at the brighton bar in long branch on sept.10
  1:48pm SWAMI:

Where is Mrs. Stately's Garden?
  1:49pm Negator:

This Four Seasons stuff blows my mind in a way. It sort of sounds like The Move or something. Really weird stuff. Must have......
  1:49pm Wendy del Formaggio:

Wow! I think this is the 1st Four Seasons song I've ever heard that I've liked. Usually I run screaming from the room when I hear Frankie Valli...
  1:49pm TL:

Thanks for the playing the Usher!
  1:58pm C:

I picked up that 4 Seasons boxed set after hearing it on this show. There's some great stuff on there. Thanks for the tip.

And thanks for the cheese tip, Wendy. I really enjoyed the Red Hawk Mt. Tam that I bought over the weekend.
  2:08pm listener jon:

Joe, I am stunned, yet strangely proud to share my birthday with Gene Simmons. I had no idea until you called it out. Of course I'll be 38 and he'll be an alte kaker.
  2:09pm listener jon:

sAnd I'm seeing one of Three Chord Monte's favorite bands on Saturday, The Blank Stares! Woo-hoo!
  2:12pm Joe B:

Damn! Jealous! Tell them we said hi!
  2:14pm Wendy del Formaggio:

Hey There C - I'm glad the cheese tip helped you to make a good selection. Yup, Red Hawk is deeeelicious.

I just checked out the Jersey Beat box set, and considering every single one of my parents LOVES Frankie Valli & The 4 Seasons, I think I should get this for them for Xmas/Hanukkah, and rip the later songs for my own collection! BTW, I'm not Mormon - I have two sets of bio-parents and step-parents :-D
  2:21pm gumby:

Way to get your shopping done early Wendy.
Joe any chance for The Fleshtones Push-Up Man. I've been slacking lately on my push-ups
  2:27pm gumby:

Shout out to Cousin Brucie!
  2:29pm GP:

For some reason those Betty Harris tracks you are playing really remind me of Macy Gray who IMHO is WAYYY underated.
  2:54pm Wendy del Formaggio:

Gumby - do you mean push-ups as in the exercise or push-ups as in the push-up pops frozen treat? I recommend the latter over the former any day.
  2:57pm gumby:

I like both.
  2:57pm GP:

NOM
quiescently frozen confections
  2:58pm Bad Ronald:

I prefer the bras.
