Speaking of the Clash, it should be noted that Michael Campbell, who collaborated extensively with them, died of cancer back on 15 March this year. Better known as Mikey Dread, he did release some lovely dub platters in his time, some on his own Dread at the Controls label. Ah, takes me back to the time where I would go hunting for JA pre-releases at Daddy Kool in deepest Soho and making it all the way out to Shepherd's Bush to get the latest 12s from Greensleeves. Always a risky undertaking; you could end up with Jamaican pressings that were virtually unplayable Check out Mikey's "African Anthem". You won't be disappointed.
