barry:

WELCOME BACK Michael...fun show. Good to hear hatch...however he should get prepped for a stirring Hillary victory this Tuesday with her taking New York, New Jersey & most of California. Trendy candidates like Obama, big on form but not content, never seem to win the big ones. Have you heard Merle Haggard's LETS PUT A WOMAN IN THE WHITE HOUSE? Now, we're talkin'!
  10:58am
Paul:

I think Hillary's OK. She's gonna be a good vice president.
  11:01am
Larry:

Yes, indeed, I see right-wing rag THE NEW YORK POST indorsed Obama...isn't THAT the kiss-of-death?
  11:03am
SmokinJ:

Let's think MUSIC!
  11:05am
Larry:

O.K. I have heard Merle Haggard's LETS PUT A WOMAN IN THE WHITE HOUSE & it's smokin'. I wonder if Michael's heard it yet?
  11:07am
Michael:

No I havent! - but will check it out!
  11:10am
Paul:

Speaking of Carl Perkins, who would have thought that Jerry Lee Lewis would have outlived Elvis, Roy Orbison, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and Waylon Jennings, to name a few. Not to mention most of the Ramones.
  11:18am
johnnyboy:

Since you mentioned Hatch again, Michael, I recall he boldly stated that Obama would win New Hampshire by as much as 20 points, but we know what a big win that was for Hillary. TV reported more of the "kids" showing up for his rallys than the actual polling booth. Guess there was a big kegger in the dorms before election night. That kind of soft-support looks good but doesn't win elections.
  11:23am
Michael:

Just a heads up - I can see the addess you post from, so stay with one alias. Today it looks like johnnyboy, Larry & Barry are all the same person.
  11:25am
SmokinJ:

Atta' boy Michael! Let's lose these political creeps and get on with the MUSIC celebration!

  12:18pm
Michael:

I have it on LP. I dont think there is a definiteive CD collection for her - all the Shelby Singleton produced stuff is under
released on CD!
  12:21pm
Paul:

Thanks, Michael! Anyone else ever seen this song on CD?
  12:24pm
Paul:

RIP John Stewart
  12:30pm
Paul:

"Gold" was a hit song for John S. from the California Bloodlines LP
  12:39pm

mike tp:

mr scott and jack both insert large pieces of furniture up their ass. more jerks and hosers.
  11:06am
Peter:

First tune--Lulu's band sounds a lot like the Standells in their "Dirty Water" period. A bit of a "disheveled" vocal reading, too, not something I'd have associated with her.
  11:21am
Peter:

"I Stand Accused," Tony Colton & His Big Band--approx 00:19:00. What date was this released? It's so much like Costello's version.
  11:43am
daviso:

Hiya- tired of tirelessly googlin' "Like We Were Before" by the band Song. link or mp3 appreciated. was pop jem! good show as always. thanks. -d
  8:39pm
Tony Cabanellas:

Jeannie C Riley cut "Mr. Harper" has Pete Drake on voice box/steel guitar, which Pete invented, not Peter Frampton which you referenced on air. Perhaps in jest? Good show as usual. Looking forward to the Ken Nordine interview.
  4:32pm
Larry in Florida:

Lulu never got her just due. She still has a nice gritty quality to her voice and can sing greasy with the best of 'em if she puts her mind to it. Check out her live version of "Shout". Don't think of her so much in terms of "To Sir With Love", although that's still a cool performance, with just a touch of grit to it.
