Tom, I wish I had a line on that Ram Jam album - that was vinyl from the station library. Listen to 3 Chord Monte tomorrow, one of the guys from Ram Jam is in the band he's having on.

then a buncha other places sprang up, in NYC and NJ, converting from "disco" to "new wave" . . . i remember seeing X at a place called The 80s (somewhere uptown?)

oh, and The 80s was on E. 86th, around 3rd Ave or so - not too far from Privates. I was in a band that played at The 80s once - we were on a bill with future hitmaker Desmond Child!
