  10:43am Druid on Route 84:

Thanks for the great grooves and smarmy humor getting me thru NY state and Connecticut.
You are the dude!
  12:26pm Andrea from Sydney:

Screaming Tribesmen? Jeez, not even Sydney "alternative" radio stations play that anymore. Once popular, now forgotten... sigh...
Play some Laughing Clowns, another obscure Australian band, "to educate the masses into oblivion", next week, pleez!
  1:57pm Mike Lupica:

Hey all, thanks for the nice words on this show. If I could go back and re-think my 6th grade opinions on DIO-era Sabbath, I'd have a few hundred words to eat... Am I really smarmy? ... And always happy to play lots of Ozztralian rock music. Andrea, I'm a HUGE Laughing Clowns/Ed Kuepper fan, FYI. In fact, I believe I played them two or three weeks ago, so take a looksie at the archives, or you can use this link:

http://tinyurl.com/3xn52b

to find other instances of them being played in the WFMU archives. Enjoy!
  12:56pm Crawford:

Hi Mike
Your show is great, I listen every week here in Scotland. Thanks especially for the introduction to George Pellecanos, I really like his writing.
  2:14pm Mike Lupica:

Thanks Crawford! And you're MORE than welcome for the Pelecanos tip... the show on which I interviewed him remains one of my proudest radio achievments. I'm up to season 3 of THE WIRE, for which he's a writer, and I can definitely pick things out of the plots there that seem like they're straight out of one of his novels. All great stuff.
  1:58pm Steve:

Dalek song is great! Can't stop listening to it. Definitely need to go back and pick up those albums.
  2:03pm Mike Lupica:

Thanks, Steve! Yeah, that's absolutely one of my favorites from their formidable arsenal. They did a great live version of it on their 2nd visit to my show. Link here:

Enjoy!
  12:12am Hi Mike:

As for you and everybody thank you for sharing all that you know. One thing Mr Lupica on Monday night about 10:00 you played a great song that Iwasnt able to find out who they were but you played a Bowie song I think from the Heros album right after it.Could you please let me know who they were. Thank you .
  9:54am Mike Lupica:

Are you referring to my show from April 30th? If so, you can find that playlist by hitting the "Next Playlist--->" link at the bottom of this page and scanning down. If that's the show you're talking about, I believe the song in question was by the Karl Hendricks Rock Band.
