Live performance and chat with Lisa Germano
(Listen to this set: Pop-up)

Seductive, dark and truly magical, Lisa Germano has just released a new disc called "In the Maybe World" on Michael Gira's Young God label. Always stark and direct, Germano's songs are intensely beautiful with just a hint of black humor. Lisa has been touring with the equally beautiful guitarist and producer Michael Brook, and she plays on his new album, "RockPaperScissors,"as well. Lisa Germano dropped by mid-tour to chat and play a few songs for us on the piano.
-CD: "Moon in Hell" [In the Maybe World]
  -"Golden Cities"
  -"In the Maybe World"
  -"Except for the Ghosts"

Lisa Germano's latest collection of songs, "In the Maybe World," is available on the Young God label. My thanks to both Michael Gira and to David Garland for 'sharing' Lisa with WFMU.

I dedicate Lisa's set to the memory of Nolan, the babycat, who went to his own 'Golden City' in July after 15 years on this planet.
