Every show starts with the ’70s! We’ll rediscover forgotten rockers, revisit unfairly maligned disco beats and replay power-pop favorites. Next: plenty of new releases, occasional live bands and more. Don’t let the nickname confuse you.

this set inaugurates a new feature on the Evan "Funk" Davies show that will be a part of every fill-in that I do between now and September 19: the dB's Countdown. The dB's are one of my all-time favorite bands ever -- I used to go see the dB's all the time in NYC, at all the great long-lost clubs like TR3, Hurrah, Privates, etc., and they were simply amazing. I can't believe that they're reuniting and I'll have a chance to see them again after all these years! And you will too! Monday Sept 19 and Tues Sept 20 at Maxwell's. Be there! I will. |
