Long ago -- the '80s? -- I attended concerts by Kronos Quartet, who would perform their take on "Purple Haze" and, better, a weird medley of TV show theme songs.

This Delta 5 takes me to the range of months when I decided I needed to back off from rock music. I think I even went a whole year not buying records.

All of which only goes to show that you're delivering the goods tonight, Charlie.

"Desperately Seeking Susan"! I saw it when it came out, maybe in the theater. Then I watched it a few years ago. Maybe I'll watch it again. It's so good.

Hi Charlie & all the busy nothing doers!
- definitely on the same wavelength, as I was gonna recommend the fun (imao) Making Mr Right. I was floored by the entire vibe of that movie when it arrived. Not only great Ann Magnuson playing off of Malkovich (doing peak Malkovich things!) & Glenn Headly etc.
I see that one as a loving ode to the master cartoonish director Frank Tashlin
- the look of it/cinematography/set design is wonderful. I vaguely recall being peaved that it received a lukewarm reception. 🤷‍♂️

I was lucky enough to catch Magnuson performing one of her one woman extravaganza performance art comedy concerts - late 1980s. It was like a playful wacky funnier version of say Karen Finlay (still, both very intense & passionate!) 80s = great time for alive theatre events.
