There's no point in stewing in other people's negativity, creating your own negativity, and never trying to change it.
With that said, I'm not trying to turn the board against them. I just don't understand the adoration, but I don't have to.

I was just reminiscing about my time being the 'stylus expert' at the Crazy Eddie's record stores where I worked in the 80s. I could match the cartridges by eye. I'm a weirdo that way.

Once they are gone I have no use for a TT (and I have my digital TT).
I transferred about 400 LP's of 850 total in her collection to digital a few years ago. Now I'm going through the ones I didn't do to make sure they're in decent shape for sale.

like many others, i have had similar experiences -- and honestly, in the middle of it, i cannot even get angry, and do not even know how to respond to the . . . cluelessness? rudeness? it just catches me off guard! . . . but generally do what you do: remain calm, and then respond in a very logical, almost Mr. Spock-like manner :)
