Favoriting Hinky Dinky Time with Uncle Michael: Playlist from February 21, 2025 Favoriting

Turning over the toy box and jamming together the gloriously mismatched musical Lincoln Logs, Legos and Tinker Toys from Tin Pan Alley pluggers, pickled egg tavern weepers, lockstep soul ensembles, skinny-tie power poppers, Eurotrash ravers, moontanned art school rockers, drunken soccer anthems and anything else that seems like a good idea at the time. There are no guilty pleasures.

that must be at the heart of "beginner's luck".
...when i was hanging in the pubs a lot, i'd play darts no more than maybe 3 times/year, and >80% of the time won -even playing against skilled players.
but if i played a second game i'd usually lose. if i played again a few days later i'd lose.(i mean - depending on how bad &/or drunk the other player was, of course)

same exact thing with billiards. (more dramatically in fact)

In deference to dan, back up there about Cathy Smith, the internet sources local to Toronto, seem to verify that she was indeed the woman referred to in Sundown.
