thank Bowie (well, he IS God, isn't he?!) for the archives (been lurking, trying to listen, but missed some)
years ago, saw The Polyphonic Spree at Central Park's Summerstage series -- at the end of the show (the encore?), John Cameron Mitchell joined them, leading an astounding version of this song -- i was there by myself, but i think all of us in the audience were holding hands, singing along at the top of our collective lungs -- the word "magical" gets tossed about a lot, but this truly was magical 💜💜💜
