Seems a new, mostly chain, coffee shop opens up in Cologne every week, heavily patronized by young people. EUR4.40 is pretty standard for a cappuccino, and I'm an old skinflint. Over time, cafés and restaurants have reduced their wine servings from 0.25 l to 0.20 l to 015 l to even 0.10 l per glass. Fancy 12 euros for 0.10 l of wine! I much prefer drinking at home these days. And cooking.

The two-party U.S. system is very bad; the UK's first-past-the-post system ditto. AUS switched to preferential voting some decades ago, which allows for some variety. The world's first Green party was founded in Tasmania in the 1970s, and now has a strong oppositional voice in parliament.

I think photojournalism is framed (pun intended) by how the image can be understood, which draws upon what's in the cultural background. In turn, when something really strikes a chord, it can make others wonder why and go deeper into what made the message (sorry, had to sneak that it) come through, and that probably has a lot to do with your interests
