Well, myron, important to remember here that I'm fully vegetarian, so there's a lot that NOLA offers that I have to turn down with polite regrets. K8 eats seafood, though, so she gets a few treats. But we decided this year to go to Cafe Arnaud in the Quarter as a splurge. I had a drink in their bar last year, and it was one of the peak cocktail experiences of my life. So this time, I'm bringing a jacket, and K8, Mariano, and I are heading there for dinner. Surprisingly solid vegetarian selection!

Other than that, we're gathering local listeners at Betsy's Pancake House for a late breakfast so K8 can have their shrimp and grits. There's a deli in the Quarter that makes a really impressive vegetarian "Green Giant" po'boy, which we intend to have a time or two. A breakfast place called Elizabeth's that we didn't make it to last year and want to try. And then a restaurant just on the other side of Canal that has a range of veg. and vegan traditional dishes plus more standard fare that I also want to try.
