Hi cricket and all of you! today your show is background for sending off mails to organize a Swedish mini-tour in June. Gonna work up some folk-prog-space-improv material with Mattias Olsson and Jonathan Segel. So far only a gig at Larrys Corner in Stockholm (which ALL WFMU listeners should visit when in Stockholm), so need a few more.

So much to enjoy from Hayden Pedigo. Music aside the movie Kid Candidate about his run for office in Amarillo TX is worth tracking down. I got to see him when he came here to the UK for the first time last year, his playing was otherworldly.

BTW, I went last night around the corner to the upstairs bar of the local punk club (which doesn't just have punk) and saw Steve Solkela, a young Finnish-American from Minnesota who does a mix of Finnish and American songs, mostly very funny, including parodies, as a one-man band. In Finland he could only bring his accordion, trumpet and harmonica, but apparently in the Us he has more. There were some Finnish traditionals in there too, like Ievan Polkka.Worth checking out. Nice lad too.
Never heard this with Maxwell instead of Buffalo!

It's formally run by a company but it works more like a collective. As far as I know, they don't get any money from the gubmint. Especially now that the vice-premier from the semi-Nazi True Finns classified culture as a "luxury". vastavirta.net...
