Another day of sobriety and I draw inspiration from many sources in order "carry the message" to others seeking to stay sober. Monday evening I had the privilege to speak at an outpatient facility for people newer to sobriety. And I always state, "the words fall from my mouth" to insure I do not take credit for the work of my higher power.

My favorite show on wfmu . I have been listening for years and its the one show i set my alarm so as not to miss. I was raised nation of islam and the hubby and kids are spiritual. My grandmother patty gibson was the most devoted christian from rocky mount,NC. Rest her soul she was born in 1923 and was blessed to live 98 beautiful years. I feel close to her when i hear your sermon and these amazing voices of foundational black americans.

Actually, I am blessed that it's not a daily struggle. It's more about the neuroses that suck. Unlike many people in recovery, I travel the country and do not get anxious like most folks. Even taking a vacation is a struggle for most. And there is the beauty of Zoom meetings worldwide and I have been to meetings in person across the country and back. 17 plus years now.
