There is always the option of putting the phone in flight mode, which I do a lot. In any case, downloads or rips are better then streaming. I don't even have a SPotify account.

My guess is whatever it is (backup, server restart?) is timed at four because it's a less busy time and a mic break. Updating the playlist during the freeze might get you a timeout and sometimes it takes longer for software to even try again, lengthening the thawing time

Björk reached out to a grad student at work to use his software, he got to work with her. A couple of month ago she planned an installation in a museum. Guys spent weeks preparing to teach her about the tech when she came over. She just handed a protools session and said: this is it. They were so pissed off, the director vowed to never invite her again (his loss)
