Evidently this 1932 story was adapted to film in 1964, and again for a Night Gallery episode in 1971. I think this is the 1964 short.

I watched this after learning about "Cipher In The Snow", a similar winter story the Mormons made a film about, and was featured on RiffTrax's "GrimTrax" series. The original un-riffed film here:

I commented on that same YLT show on Joe's program, but forgot to mention Ribot; he was amazing! He's played here in the Hudson Valley numerous times, but I always miss him. I wish they had done Ribot's Yo, I Killed Your God; it would have been a nice seasonal nod.
