Partly because even though it is indeed quite abstract as in detached from a lot, it is very socially rooted, especially classical music. I think dance can be at once more universal (as embodied) and abstract when it strays from coded forms (classical) into geometry. Then again, Cage could come close to bypassing culture, though I guess the immediacy is lost

I am proud to say I’ve suffered from it too ; but my colors are connected to words nowadays and somewhat music . Music stretches out into abstracted shapes with some coloration. It’s a wwonderful neurologic issue to have
