omg Cruising! i remember seeing that when it came out -- and totally understanding why so many (myself included) were pissed off (no pun intended!) -- SO much clumsy misrepresentation! . . . on the other hand, i really miss those "old" days, when the meatpacking district was often seen as "dangerous" to tourists -- all the un-marked secret clubs/bars, the hanky codes, etc. -- nowadays i do not even recognize that part of NYC!

Cruising was such a letdown. The plot was a comic book level bad and the acting was so so. Friedkin did a horrible job of directing to boot. All in all,a terribly done written and directed piece of steaming dog dung!
