It was just as much a junk shop as a record store; there were record bins, but which ones you could access depended entirely on how the other items were arranged that day. The owner taught kids piano in the back of the store, and could just as often be found smoking weed in his van out front. One time I bought a toy piano there which I have reason to believe once belonged to Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Mindblowing store.

She wrote fabulously for Frieze Magazine for over 2 decades, is a curator and hosted the podcast Bow Down. In honor of The Other Side coming out in paperback in the US, Jennifer and trouble will discuss women artists, seances and spiritualism.

It was just as much a junk shop as a record store; there were record bins, but which ones you could access depended entirely on how the other items were arranged that day. The owner taught kids piano in the back of the store, and could just as often be found smoking weed in his van out front. One time I bought a toy piano there which I have reason to believe once belonged to Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Mindblowing store.
