This explains why we didn't see Gus, which is too bad: not visible in that photo are the large vodka sodas we had with us.

Now that the neighborhood has gentrified around us, they clean up the Gatorade cups and used butt swabs in a hurry! Used to be a week would go by before they got around to sending a sweeper.

Graham Bond, big influence on PH:
"He was a bit of a mentor. He was the first real musician I’d ever known and his advice was invaluable – particularly in terms of “Go ahead and do whatever it is you feel you have to do, don’t be diverted.” He was, naturally, a pretty wild and wacky chap but was also quite an influence. I wrote “Open Your Eyes” [from Hammill’s 1975 solo album Nadir’s Big Chance] on his Hammond, which was kept in a warehouse near where I was living at the time."

Who doesn’t love a yellow school bus, right? Can you raise your hand if you love a yellow school bus? Many of us went to school on the yellow school bus, right? It’s part of our experience growing up. It’s part of a nostalgia, a memory of the excitement and joy of going to school to be with your favorite teacher, to be with your best friends and to learn.
