I only went because one of my work associates was opening for them. As a matter, the whole art department went directly from work to the club. Everyone was bone tired and we had to be back on set early the next morning...

I'm sure that effected my opinion of the band.

1998 is the year I got into to Fahey and it was because of Gastr Del Sol and Jim O'Rourke. The music is filled with electronics and wide open spaces. Psychedelic but fits in with what was going on at the time with post rock like Tortoise etc. Very cool
