The Radio Is Broken is a three-hour spelunk through the canyons and fissures of humanity's collective unconscious. It sounds as if a field recording of the Culture Industry were a sonic juggernaut barreling down a rickety track—except that tunnel ahead is just painted onto a sheer cliff wall. With occasional forays into what might pass for "normal" music. Prerequisite journey: Cratedigger's Lung

i crave it now and then because i loved it a few decades ago; but it's never good now.
maybe it's me.
...i'd much prefer a baked potato, or french fries - or even home fries, if they're good.
...or coleslaw.

My 9/11 story is likely going to be more interesting than everyone else's here. I actually was at the WTC 11 days before the attacks. And it was absolutely by accident, because I meant to take the PATH train line to 6th Ave. & W. 4th St., where I would've stopped at a record shop nearby, stopped over my favorite hot dog place for a nosh, then walk across town to go see a show at the Bowery Ballroom. So since I ended up at the WTC instead, I decided to buy something to eat at the Sbarro's in the ground plaza, then walk acroiss town past City Hall and up East Broadway to the Bowery Ballroom, not even having the slightest hint as to how I could've made such a mistake or the significance of my being there, considering the fate that was awaitiing the Twin Towers.

i've been trying them all... newest one today is granolaa without grains
i must have 8 of rohm on hand atm (i just went to TJs earlier today ( ON MY SCOOTAER!!!!! it's been over 2 months - today was first i ventured out -- surgeon said not to lift more and ~25 lbs for 2-3 most... today was just over 2 months. the steps fdown to the street are the most precarious part challenge -----had been bussing everyehree-- and getting bounced arounsd worse than anything related to carrying the thing down or riding it.
busses SUCK - esp in tourist season/seummer in sf... entire classes of small children and this clueless tourists -- i had to SCREAM to get off the bus twice noe -- once it passed my stop by three whole stops before it actually stopped.. . i was a human bowling ball at one point, with my dully loaded backpack on my frontside so i could fit in a seat (and of course, everyone not disabled or old sits in the seats made for the disabled (me) or old (me too)
I LOVE MY SCOOTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the other cereals are worse. my sister "raised" her kids allowing them to choose whatever cold cereals they wanted, and to have whatever they wanted for meals in general. chocolate cereals, brightly colored cereals...
but sometimes she'd make chocolate chip pancakes. in other words, cookies for breakfast.

had an interaction with the biggest scariest one this morning upon returning home from TJs -- i'd been waiting for another such occurrence , as the first and only time w'd seen each other before that he gave me some serious stink-eye... we didn't throw down (thank goodness, he's HUGE), and was actually pretty friendly -- he was trying to help me open the common front door but ended up pulling me inside when i wasn't ready to move forward, and pulled my keyring apart, sending all of my keys to the floor. TING TING TING TING... he helped pick them up and apologized through, and i offered Thank, i know you meant well. so that was nice. tuned out better than hoped, and i'm not longer cursing him for behind my close door (everybody wins:) ahahah)
