One True Love - Semisonic
All above me the stars are bright
And a sweet suburban breeze is blowing
And down the block are the parking lights
Of a hundred friends who I barely know and
Don't know me
Don't know me
None of them know me
And all through the party I want to leave
(All alone with one true love)
I could be happy if I could be
(In the dark with one true love)
And in the middle of everyone
I still find myself with my thoughts alone
And in the middle of all the noise
Look around myself at the shining toys that
I don't need
I don't need
I don't really need

It makes me laugh incredulously when people complain about the "terrible" economy then brag how they spent hundreds of dollars on fireworks(most of which are pretty lame) for what amounts to minutes of annoyance for many of us.
Frightens my animals & those poor ones in the woods I exist in.
I have no use for personal fireworks. Go see a pro show.
They're free and all over the place & done really well in most cases.

Happy 4th to everyone however you choose to acknowledge it.
Remember, chances are if you're looking at a grill wondering if something is "done," it almost certainly is.
If for whatever reason you choose not to leave fireworks to the professionals, please, Please, PLEASE be careful!
Love to all glisteners!

And - Feelin’ nearly faded as my jeans – is just a great line
Then the hard alliteration of coalmines, Kentucky, and California to the soft sibilance of sun, shared, secrets, soul – she freed him from the darkness, raised him up from the dark coalmines to the shining sun and she softened his life from hard Cs to round Ss
Like how she kept him from the cold.
“Well I’d trade all my tomorrows for a single yesterday” is as evocative a line as you’ll get.
But especially as he’s pairing it with the chorus idea of free costing nothing, and the cost of nothing being free.
He’d give everything he has to have nothing. He’s as good as Dylan here.
Or Ithink so anyways
