Maybe? Certainly their fans are a turn off. But there are a lot of bands like that, so I'm not sure if that is the factor that rubs me wrong. I think the merits of their art are not for me to measure. It's like someone who doesn't like jazz weighing in on jazz. What do they know?

I was called a "mash-up" artist once, and I really wanted to correct them. It's not that I don't take parts from multiple songs to make a new song, but I don't do the beat-matching and other clever inter-connected things that good mash-up artists do. Mashing-up well is very hard.

I disregarded ICP when The Great Milinko came out. I loved the music, but was repulsed by the content. Kreightoven encouraged me to give them another try - When I started seeing their music more like cartoons in audio form, it clicked!
