It has a lot of biographical info on the three but... there are multiple bios of all three out there already. I looked closely at the accounts of the recording sessions to see if there were any special insights... bottom line: if someone said "I don't know anything about jazz but I hear this KINDA BLUE record is important" it would be an excellent work of initiation into our cult. But if you've already drunk the kool-aid maybe not?

It has a lot of biographical info on the three but... there are multiple bios of all three out there already. I looked closely at the accounts of the recording sessions to see if there were any special insights... bottom line: if someone said "I don't know anything about jazz but I hear this KINDA BLUE record is important" it would be an excellent work of initiation into our cult. But if you've already drunk the kool-aid maybe not?
