A different show every week! Rotating DJs include Jon Nelson's "Sheena 'ssembly Required" (Tape Manipulations, Digital Deconstructions and Turntable Creations),
MarkTime (vintage radio airchecks), and Krys O (aka Sister Krys - WFMU alumna 1985-1991, longtime Church of the Subgenius monk. Playing cinematic ephemera, schizoid weirdos, all styles served here). Plus: surprise guests galore. (illustration courtesy of https://www.jimflora.com/)

Favoriting July 2, 2024: The Wiggle Room w/ BC Sterrett: A Soundtrack Mix by Fischloops + More Random Soundtrack and Library Music from the Archive
Today in promotion of The Beer Goggles film series in Salt Lake City (aka films that look better after having beer), I'm sharing a soundtrack mix by Fisch aka Fischloops, the host of the series. This CD-R compiles tracks from pretty much every soundtrack he owns (from what he told me), and is only available as one single track as this was recorded as he was playing and mixing these records LIVE. I don't drink beer or alcohol, but as a resource contributor of many of the films used in this series, I decided to talk about it and share this disc. It won't fill the entire hour, so I'll be adding a few soundtracks and library music LPs from the Lost Media Halloween LP archive that is next to me as I DJ. I shall be playing these in alphabetical order of record label...until my time runs out. ALSO, I'll be guest hosting Beer Goggles tomorrow, July 3rd @ Brewvies in SLC @ 8 PM with a screening of "The Worm Eaters" from 1977. Come and say hello if you happen to be in town. It's free :)

Indeed . Speaking of full houses, do you prefer your card decks with three faces per suit or four?
Avatar 👻 Swag For Life Member 7:55pm
Austin Rich:

↳ Imaginos @7:54
I haven't played a card game in so long, I forgot what is "standard."

I did get a "Cyberpunk" card deck, for a game I've never heard of. Looks cool... but... who knows if the game is fun?
Avatar 7:57pm

Standard is three faces, Cavalier deck (rare) has four King, Queen, Jack and Cavalier or Knight

love this movie. it has no plot - just Peter Fonda on an acid trip.

Plots are overrated!

↳ Song: "Book of the Dead" by "Joseph LoDuca"
Probably the movie I've seen the most; I had only it, on VHS, for years, and then later, only it on DVD. It's pretty great.

'80s soundtrack music sounds so cheap! Nowadays, a single composer can sound like a whole orchestra, but back then it's so obviously just one guy and a crappy drum machine.

Good show! I remember falling asleep at a movie marathon and waking up during a particular scene in Omen, it was about as creepy as it can get. Haven't seen the movie in full since I was about five, parents let me watch all kinds of horror movies. But this soundtrack is pure gold.
