X-Files’ story arc goes nowhere and is very frustrating, written like a conspiracy theory constantly spinning out new meaningless data, but many of the monster-of-the-week eps are fire. Vancouver filming location was innovative, unusual, and striking back then when it originally aired. Moving to L.A. in S6 was a step down.

Their first album (from whence our cover band got its name) was reportedly their very first recording ever.

I saw an interview they did with some Scottish music writer early in the 80s who asked them: "Your lyrics reference drugs quite a bit. Which drug would you say best describes your music?" and they answered, "A lot of drugs, really."

Which I always thought was appropriate — both in category and quantity.
