I went down the rabbit hole of Mawang. He's from Indonesia. The other song that everyone mocks is not a joke but a parent-child love tune. This is why when he sings it he and their bandmates can keep a straight face. He also sings like an angel. He truly has a very beautiful voice.

I was in Kansas recently for a week after my mother died, and I saw little evidence of Trumpmania. BTW, funeral homes are the masters of upselling. Caskets are like the GM line, starting from Chevrolet/"Quiet Memories" to Cadillac/"Eternal Sunset." Cotton lining to satin to crushed velour. Totally surreal! It's like spending eternity in an upholstered sewing kit.

Ok here's a story. A few years ago we had a chronic problem with dogpoop on the sidewalk outside our house. One morning there's a group of kids from the neigborhood Montessori school parading down the street with what turned out to be a goat. I was a bit hung over and I went downstairs, opened the door to see the goat pooping all over the sidewalk. I got livid, started yelling "You can't just let your dog poop wherever it wants!". Then I looked at the dog and realized it had weird eyes, and the poop was all wrong too (little pellets). But I refused to admit I was wrong, I doubled down - "Get your damn dog out of here!". The Montessori kids were looking at me like I was crazy.
