We saw her perform within that “spirit art trio” (with great Vijay Iyer & that bassist/multi-instrumentalist that is also extraordinary) - in our experience, she was more than a bit removed from the concert and had some issues with audience members in the front “staring at her”?! Huh🤔. Considering how drifting & floating & focused the music being shared was - kinda tarnished the evening. However, All were tapping into a single sound vibe that required concentration.🤷 -still memorable.

	🥁 ♥ 1:29pm doctorjazz: Went to see David Murray at the Vanguard a week + ago. I had seen him quite a few times in the 80s/90s, not since. Wouldn't have recognized him (I don't look quite the same either after all that time), but, man, can he still blow! Highly recommended if he's in your parts!
	♥ 1:31pm Irene Trudel: ↳ Erik/VT @1:16 I saw her perform at the Newport Jazz festival last summer. The crowd seemed a bit indifferent to listening quietly, which I think kind of threw her. But those who moved to the front kind of kept the din to a Minimum. I'm not sure how she seems in other indoor venues.

Anyway glad to know/hear he’s still in fine form & gettin it done ✅ - (perhaps a keeper of the Sonny Rollins flame & fire🔥).

We saw her perform within that “spirit art trio” (with great Vijay Iyer & that bassist/multi-instrumentalist that is also extraordinary) - in our experience, she was more than a bit removed from the concert and had some issues with audience members in the front “staring at her”?! Huh🤔. Considering how drifting & floating & focused the music being shared was - kinda tarnished the evening. However, All were tapping into a single sound vibe that required concentration.🤷 -still memorable.

But those who moved to the front kind of kept the din to a Minimum. I'm not sure how she seems in other indoor venues.
