This move paid off with the hit song "I Want Candy" among others. Join DJ Stu Rutherford as he spotlights the music these three men created and released under various "group" names along with material from other artists that they produced.

DJ Dave Turner - from a City called Salford in the North West of England that neighbours Manchester. The top soul club in 60’s Manchester was the 'Twisted Wheel'. The club is legendary alongside clubs like the 'Golden Torch' in Stoke, 'Blackpool Mecca' and 'Wigan Casino'. Northern soul reached the peak of its popularity in the mid to late 1970s. At the time, there were soul clubs in virtually every major town in the North West of England and the Midlands. Dave will be playing More Stomping beats, Soaring vocals, cool horns, fabulous string arrangements and in his favourite Northern Soul tunes…a psychedelic soul or garage rock feel.
