	3:17pm WM: I first read On The Road when I was a teenager in highschool. After that, of course, I just had to go hitchhiking. I traveled in New England and California. This was during the brief resurgence of hitchhiking in the early 1970s. If you go hitchhiking now you will almost certainly never come back.

	3:17pm WM: I first read On The Road when I was a teenager in highschool. After that, of course, I just had to go hitchhiking. I traveled in New England and California. This was during the brief resurgence of hitchhiking in the early 1970s. If you go hitchhiking now you will almost certainly never come back.

	3:21pm WM: I never got around to reading Big Sur. Kerouac turned out some terrible junk towards the end of his career. But it sounds good in your reading. I should check it out.

	3:49pm WM: My favorite Wender's film is The Goalie's Anxiety at the Penalty Kick (1972). See it and read the Peter Handke novel it's based on. (Handke wrote the screenplay.) One of the few examples of a good novel made into a good film.
