and surcharges to use them on public roads; higher tolls on toll roads...for any vehicle that sits higher than a small sedan, or gets poorer fuel mileage; or is heavier so causes more wear on roadways...

...it's just i see >50% of vehicles in my area being unnecessarily large - a gradual increase in the proportion of giant vehicles over responsible sized ones.
