greetings, Suzy! Alice!
Hot Rodders! cuddles to Chi Chi and alla the other critters too ๐๐โโฌ๐๐ถ
Alice, i have got to read your book! and i LOVE your creations with Kid Congo Powers too ๐๐
you are sooooo right, that early punk rock was total therapy for me too
i remember The Bags! i may have seen those photos of you all in Rock Scene magazine? Punk magazine? (i am 65 too -- i still have those magazines, but my foggy old brain is not remembering the exact details ๐คฏ๐น)

aghhhhhh social security and medicare! my observation is that it is a much more seamless process if someone has some sort of job??
but i don't, so dealing with medicaid too -- which would not be an issue, but i am supposed to get physical therapy, other medical stuff -- but all stalled -- and i am going batshit crazy bc trying to untangle all of it is sooooo time consuming and frustrating ๐ตโ๐ซ๐ฉ

I had to take a shower. Today was pretty warm in L.A. so, I kind of stunk.
Anyway, when I turned sixty-five I most certainly did not have a job. The paperwork is worth the bother. Nothing wrong with a little financial help, and Medicare is a god send, so don't ignore what's rightfully yours.

- Hey ๐ that was a stellar Alice Bag interview & Life & career overview! Thanks ๐.
Being immersed in the east coast vibes - wasnโt really that aware of the west coast sounds until โdecline of western civilizationโ 1981?! docu arrived.

mantled capitalism?
slugluv1313:
yeah, the medicare was not difficult at all -- just some back & forth bc of the (NJ State) medicaid, what they would cover -- the medicaid process started back in September! but was impossible to follow up on, & did not get approved until February (the sciatica and fall down the stairs happened in December) -- and i was assigned an hmo etc. not even in my area ๐ตโ๐ซ๐ตโ๐ซ
the paperwork is a breeze! but trying to follow up on stuff has been nuts
honestly, i would rather be "gainfully employed" -- i am bored outta my skull! not ready to "retire" ๐น๐น -- but i gotta be healthy enough first . . . and i would have time and space to do fun stuff like FINALLY baking pies! i purchased a "top rated" pie dish from target . . . yes you and Alex have totally inspired me ๐ป๐ป
