My current fave on the Drummer Stream is an east Asian comedy duo, speaking maybe Cambodian. The first tells a joke in a harsh yelling voice, and the drummer accompanying him hits the rimshot---except the rimshot runs a couple of bars, and uses every thing the drummer can hit.
Hilarious, and just the sort of surprise I expect from the Drummer stream.

Yes saw that article when I searched. And I remember now: I've seen Liz Downing (of Lambs Eat Ivy) play in Baltimore! must've been 5-6 years ago at The Wind Up. I then recommended a double bill to a booker in charm city of Liz and my Austin friends Little Mazarn (banjo and saw duo), they were touring the northeast. It was apparently a smashing show...

PAULS, I spent one ridiculously warm New Year's Eve with our Insect Surfer friend in Baltimore in the early '90s. I remember walking around Fells Point with Dan and the Lambs Eat Ivy gals on January 1st and it was like 75°F.

Not familiar with Lambs, looked at the old review. It just makes me right glad and reassured. I might only want to see such an act for 30 minutes, but I give thanks and credit that such creatively driven/willing people generate such wide-ranging things in the world for us to encounter. HoooooooRAY! Really!
