Like all streaming services, they offer a trial period, but if you're like me you can't stream two full seasons in a week. There are always bit torrent options if you have a good vpn. It's a great, gritty series and Oldman gets to ham it up as a boozy, smelly cantankerous genius.

Does anyone you know have one of those ozone machines? I understand that exposing smoke damaged / permeated stuff to heavily ionized air can eat some of the smoke remnants. I *think* this is one of the techniques used in smoke damage remediation – but of course not gonna look any references up for this comment!

It's nothing to play around with casually, because ozone is an oxidizer and can essentially chemically "burn" materials the way other strong oxidizers like chlorine can – you have to make sure neither you not a pet breathes that air until it's been fully cleared back out – but something to think about.

There are these things called ozone generators, which pump out ozonated air – where the oxygen molecules, usually O2, are temporarily O3 ions with an extra oxygen atom just dying to jump off and combine with something else.

en.wikipedia.org...

Immersing smoky-smelling stuff in heavily ozonated air for a number of minutes could allow those unstably-attached extra oxygen atoms to jump off the ozone molecules and combine with the aromatic hydrocarbons which are making your jacket smell smoky.

Or it might not work great, and could leave the jacket smelling temporarily like chlorine bleach!

But it might be worth trying. Sticking the affected jacket in a big plastic bag, pumping that bag full of ozone (safely outside somewhere, probably), and seeing if moderately long exposures (start at 15 minutes or so, work up if necessary from there?) help the smoke smell would be interesting.

Olivia, Take your leather garment and put it in a plastic garbage bag. Then, pour in an entire bag of silica crystals. Best way to get these is they are sold as cat litter, I don't recall the brand name, but the product is well known. Tie a tight enough but open-able knot in the bag, and leave it alone for three to six to twelve months. Shake the bag vigorously once in a while and begin to check at the three month mark. This will work after you give it a LONG time. I did it with a leather Harley motorcycle jacket. I think it took the whole year, but it worked spectacularly. Ozone is interesting, and it will have an effect, but it will destroy (completely) the leather if given enough time.
