There was a spinoff of the Partridge Family that was based on Boyce and Hart, but I don't think I ever heard anything about it being created as a vehicle for them.

Jorma was mixed; he still plays blues/ragtime guitar terrifically. He had Steven Bernstein sitting in on trumpet (who I love). On the down side, he slurred vocals some, seemed to forget some words. Was still glad I got to see him.
Another older vet musician I saw, Friday Night, was Pat Metheny. I don't follow him so closely, didn't know what to expect, It was just him. It was a fabulous show, he's an amazing guitar slinger!

All these were not inexpensive (Jorma, at The City Winery, was the least dear).
Speaking of big bucks for a senior musician, Herbie Hancock tix went on sale last week at NJPAC in Sept. I just had to spring for HH, close tix (have made the mistake of seeing a jazz group at NJPAC from poor seats, might as well be watching on YouTube, that might even be better).
