That said, I once had a friend whose mother was an actress from Ireland. As an exercise, she would recite a monologue and, as her daughter threw locations to her—Derry, Sligo, etc.—she would continue in that accent without missing a beat. Really specific talent and skill.

There's this well known experiment where a guy with a Nixon mask harassed crows, and a generation later another guy with a similar mask (hopefully not the same) got calls of alarm from crows who were not born at the time of the first stage. That's high-level communication right there. I'm getting doubtful humans can pull it off given recent history

Sally Hemings and her family were not even mentioned when I moved here 30 years ago. The family is now considered part of the larger Jefferson family, but even this took decades. And this is just one (former) enslaved family, and a well-known one at that. @PaulRobeson brings up an excellent point in that it is difficult (for me, at least) to name ANY former enslaved person/family from 1861-65.

I was M so Bros Robert was already tired so not so bad for me..

Mary is having issues after her latest chemo. Nothing horrible just increased nausea & severe lack of energy. Goes with the territory I guess but it's upsetting as there's not much I can do to help.
