My dad is dying. It’s terrible. I called to try to encourage him to be hopeful and to eat—he is being really fussy—and he said, “While I have you I want to speak to you about something else.” Just awful. His Easter gift was me keeping my mouth shut for 10 minutes but it made me so sad.
