Its not difficult to get a basic psychological screening (usually a multi-choice 'test' that takes 5-15 minutes to get through. Most general practitioners could probably hook you up or refer you. Full disclosure: I work PR for a midwestern nonprofit mental health provider. Definitely not a doctor or counselor.
