I was just wondering if we'd be hearing the song, The Bedazzler by The Stags this morning.
David WSW:
This is a sweet vibe. I don’t know if my usual crass taste will survive here. LOL

Mine came about when we were joking how some butcher the brand name Caol Ila, and someone jokingly wrote Koala Lilac.. thus my spirit animal was born in AI

Love that one—Greek islands have a special place in my heart.
Also, see above comment at 8:19.

We're still waiting for Medicare to approve the new chemo drugs & for a response from the manufacturer that may help us pay for them (quoted at about $5k per treatment x a projected 6 to 12 treatments.)
You can see why we'd be stressed between the seriousness of the illness & the costs involved with staying alive

I had grand designs to visit many [places in the world but life & work just kept getting in the way.

But I thank you for the offer. Once again, your generosity and kindness abound.

As a teenager 40+ years ago I worked in a bank and balanced customers’ checkbooks. No one thought much about security then.

I wanted to travel, so I did.
No pot to p*** in now but I did it.

I "did what I wanted" when my position (along with three other techs) was cut out from under us in '98. (National Field Service Representatives).
I cashed out a healthy 401K , went to AZ & studied audio recording & production.
Jobs in the field were getting scarce upon my return home, due to decent/cheap home recording taking off. I did what I could for a studio in the Woodstock area but he wasn't making the kind of money he had in the 80's & I had to go back into the alarm service world where my experience could draw an actual living wage.
Then came the injury & well travel sucks for me these day.

It's the multiplicity of billing company's you have to keep an eye on.
TIP: don't pay anyone until you get your EOB's in the mail & can cross ref. the info on bills to the EOB.
Weeds out the BS
David WSW:
I recently came across an article about the person who fired me—still doing what we did all those years ago—and realized that his life now would be a certain hell for me.
How are we to know? We just try to move ahead.
slugluv1313:
my oldest friend just recently turned 65 too -- exactly what you said about all the billing BS
