Me, to me, about me...in my head
"Paralyzed" - Bob Mould
An obvious display of feelings that have dissipated
And I don't have a clue where to start
You wouldn't let me near you, so I settled for the fear that
You'd be happy with me six feet in the ground
I will crash when your mood defeats me
Circle of trash swirls around beneath me
I feel paralyzed most every time you come around to meet me
Stuck in a place that I don't remember
Was it Sunday or last November
I feel paralyzed most every time you come around to meet me
Emotions vaporize, they disappear before my eyes
I wish for things that sadly have come true
So if I tried to make it right, and if I found my appetite
I'd eat away at all the pain I seem to bring to you
Bob Mould...Paralyzed

The American Dream Mall in East Rutherford has been teetering on the edge of bankruptcy or foreclosure for years. Some vultures always swoop in to feed, then await a buyout or a bailout. The cycle continues.

Renters deal with it as well in the form of landlords increasing rents to both profit & pay for ever increasing expenses like taxes, insurance, maintenance (if they are good owners) etc. No one is immune.

Don't know your work/life situation but if you are either near the PA border or maybe are a work from home person, PA has lower prices & in most places lower taxes.
We recently had longtime homeowner friends in Hackettstown,NJ, move to near Easton, PA for exactly that reason (plus aging out, no longer need the room they had when raising a family). Good luck!
I commuted (brutal) for 30 years to work in NJ where the wages are higher than in PA, but it takes its toll on you in many other ways. Wish I had a better answer for all.
